The Council decides unanimously: Wesel will be a safe harbour for refugees. The city of Wesel would like to welcome an unspecified number of children and young people from refugee camps, because the Wesel council can no longer bear to watch people being stuck. The city is trying to take in unaccompanied children and young people under the age of 14 from the overcrowded refugee camps. In 2016, Wesel was already able to offer shelter to 600 people; they were and still are willing to do so.
Thanks to the Seebrücke Wesel and all supporters!
