14. January 2020 Only 2 days left: SEEBRÜCKE meets Sally Hayden – Take part in Berlin or via livestream!

Recently we have written a lot about Libya, because the situation there is getting worse and worse.
For this reason, we will be doing an event on Thursday, 16.01.2020 from 18:30 h in the Caroline-Michaelis-Straße 1, Berlin.

You can find the link to the livstream HERE.

The journalist Sally Hayden is working intensively on the situation for people seeking protection living in the detention centres. In her presentation she will focus on human rights violations in Libya and the role of the EU, as well as the UNHCR and IOM.
What are the options for action to save those seeking protection in Libya? What could a civil society strategy against the “Libya deal” look like?
Alina Lyapina ( Seebrücke), Eric Noel Mbiakeu (Active against the Libyan detention centres), Muhammed alKashef (Human Rights Lawyer, Member of Watch the med – Alarmphone), Sally Hayden (journalist, Dublin), Chris Melzer (press spokesperson UNHCR Germany), moderator Christian Jakob (taz).
You won’t be in Berlin that day? No problem! We will do a livestream and make the video available as VoD.
