13. September 2020 After 40 days rescued people are finally allowed to debark

After 40 days the time has finally come: the rescued people of Etienne were finally allowed to go ashore in Pozzallo last night. This marks the end of the longest stand-off in the central Mediterranean.
Previously, the Mare Jonio had taken the people on board to provide initial medical care.
We wish the rescued people that they will now finally come to a safe place and receive medical and psychological care. Once again, the civilian fleet is closing the gap that the European states are building. Once again European states show that they do not care about human life.
We have space! For the people of moriacamp and for people rescued from distress at sea! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
